Formava part de la <strong>primera s\u00e8rie d&#8217;autobusos articulats<\/strong> en servei a la ciutat, i aviat es va fer popularment conegut com a <strong>\u201coruga\u201d<\/strong> o <strong>\u201cgusano\u201d<\/strong>, per la seva forma allargada i articulada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Els <strong>colors originals<\/strong> del vehicle eren <strong>blau fosc i blau cel<\/strong>, tot i que m\u00e9s endavant van ser <strong>repintats al conegut \u201cverd Porcioles\u201d<\/strong>. A partir del <strong>1977<\/strong>, aquest i altres vehicles de la s\u00e8rie van ser <strong>pr\u00e0cticament reconstru\u00efts<\/strong>, amb una <strong>nova estructura i carrosseria<\/strong>, tot aprofitant-ne <strong>els components mec\u00e0nics<\/strong> originals. Alguns es van transformar <strong>als tallers propis de TB<\/strong>, i d\u2019altres <strong>a Carrosseries Noge<\/strong>, on es va aprofitar per <strong>redistribuir els seients<\/strong> and <strong>repintar-los amb els nous colors corporatius: vermell amb franja crema<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019any <strong>1987<\/strong>, el vehicle va ser <strong>retirat per TMB<\/strong> and <strong>cedit a la Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona (UAB)<\/strong> per prestar <strong>servei intern al campus<\/strong> i com a <strong>enlla\u00e7 amb les estacions de ferrocarril<\/strong>. En aquest nou context va ser <strong>renumerat amb el n\u00famero 17<\/strong> and <strong>modificat en alguns elements<\/strong>: es va <strong>reduir el nombre de seients<\/strong>, es va <strong>eliminar el cartell de parada sol\u00b7licitada<\/strong> i es va <strong>suprimir la finestra davantera sota el parabrises<\/strong>. Aquesta reconstrucci\u00f3 es va dur a terme <strong>als tallers Bus Repar<\/strong>. Tamb\u00e9 va canviar diverses vegades de color: primer <strong>vermell<\/strong>, i posteriorment <strong>blau clar i blanc<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019any <strong>2002<\/strong>, la UAB el va declarar <strong>excedent del servei<\/strong>. Inicialment, estava destinat a ser enviat a la <strong>Universitat de Cienfuegos (Cuba)<\/strong>, per\u00f2 <strong>l\u2019inter\u00e8s del club Auto Cl\u00e0ssic Gratallops<\/strong> en preservar-lo va permetre <strong>la seva perman\u00e8ncia a Catalunya<\/strong>.
