Aquest vehicle era, en ess\u00e8ncia, una <strong>versi\u00f3 modernitzada del Pegaso 6035<\/strong>, despr\u00e9s de dos intents fallits \u2014el <strong>Pegaso 6025<\/strong> i el <strong>Pegaso 6050<\/strong>\u2014 que van ser <strong>rebutjats per TMB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Pegaso 6038 era un <strong>autob\u00fas de concepci\u00f3 monocasc autoportant<\/strong>, <strong>fabricat a la planta Jorsa de Matar\u00f3<\/strong>, i <strong>emplanxat i acabat per diferents carrossers externs<\/strong>. El vehicle <strong>7092<\/strong> va ser <strong>acabat als tallers de Noge, a Arb\u00facies<\/strong>, i formava part de la <strong>s\u00e8rie 7000 de TMB<\/strong>, la <strong>primera amb canvi autom\u00e0tic<\/strong>. Aquesta caracter\u00edstica el diferenciava dels vehicles del <strong>mateix model de la s\u00e8rie 6000<\/strong>, <strong>carrossats per Irizar<\/strong> i encara equipats amb el <strong>canvi semiautom\u00e0tic Wilson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TMB va posar en servei prop de 400 vehicles d\u2019aquest model<\/strong>, convertint-lo en l\u2019autob\u00fas m\u00e9s representatiu de la d\u00e8cada dels vuitanta a la ciutat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les versions barcelonines tenien <strong>dues portes \u2014central i davantera\u2014 i 32 places<\/strong>. Els vehicles de la s\u00e8rie 7000 estaven equipats amb <strong>seients de pl\u00e0stic<\/strong>, <strong>llum fluorescent lateral<\/strong>, <strong>aire condicionat<\/strong> and <strong>canvi de marxes autom\u00e0tic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inicialment, van ser <strong>pintats en vermell i crema<\/strong>, per\u00f2 posteriorment adoptaren el <strong>nou esquema corporatiu en vermell i blanc<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019any <strong>2001<\/strong>, el vehicle n\u00fam. 7092 va ser <strong>donat de baixa<\/strong> i va passar a formar part de la <strong>col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 del Museu del Transport de Catalunya<\/strong>, on va ser <strong>sotm\u00e8s a una restauraci\u00f3<\/strong>. Amb el <strong>tancament del museu l\u2019any 2006<\/strong>, el vehicle <strong>va retornar a TMB<\/strong> i s\u2019integr\u00e0 a la seva <strong>col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de vehicles hist\u00f2rics<\/strong>.
