La seva incorporaci\u00f3 es va produir amb motiu de la posada en marxa de la <strong>primera l\u00ednia del nou servei &#8220;Bus del Barri&#8221;<\/strong>, pensat per cobrir <strong>zones amb carrers estrets i tra\u00e7ats dif\u00edcils<\/strong> on els autobusos convencionals no podien accedir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El nou model d\u2019autob\u00fas, conegut internament com a <strong>\u201cBusito\u201d<\/strong>, estava <strong>carrossat per INDCAR<\/strong> a partir del <strong>xass\u00eds d\u2019una Mercedes-Benz Sprinter<\/strong>. Disposava de <strong>23 places totals<\/strong>, amb <strong>set seients<\/strong> and <strong>una pla\u00e7a reservada per a cadira de rodes<\/strong>. Muntava un <strong>motor de 122 CV<\/strong>, <strong>canvi autom\u00e0tic<\/strong> and <strong>aire condicionat<\/strong>, unes caracter\u00edstiques avan\u00e7ades per a la seva mida, pensades per oferir <strong>comoditat i accessibilitat<\/strong> en entorns urbans complexos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El model va tenir <strong>una gran acollida tant per part del p\u00fablic com dels barris on prestava servei<\/strong>, fet que va comportar l\u2019<strong>expansi\u00f3 de la xarxa del Bus del Barri<\/strong> i l\u2019<strong>increment progressiu del nombre de \u201cBusitos\u201d en servei<\/strong>. La <strong>s\u00e8rie assignada a aquests vehicles va comen\u00e7ar amb la calca 4200<\/strong> i, al llarg dels anys, ha arribat <strong>fins al 4297<\/strong>, amb diverses generacions del mateix concepte de vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TMB conserva actualment dos vehicles d\u2019aquesta primera etapa<\/strong>, tots dos amb una significaci\u00f3 especial. El <strong>4200<\/strong> <strong>(B-9742-UV)<\/strong> \u00e9s <strong>el primer minib\u00fas que l\u2019empresa va posar en servei<\/strong>, i es va preservar <strong>en el moment de la seva baixa<\/strong>. El <strong>4224<\/strong>, per la seva banda, \u00e9s <strong>l\u2019\u00faltim autob\u00fas de la flota que va ser matriculat amb placa de format provincial (B-3314-XG)<\/strong> i, al mateix temps, <strong>l\u2019\u00faltim que ha circulat per Barcelona amb aquesta identificaci\u00f3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tots dos vehicles van comen\u00e7ar la seva vida operativa a les <strong>cotxeres de Borb\u00f3<\/strong>.
