Per a <strong>Transportes Suburbanos de Barcelona<\/strong>, que fins aleshores operava amb autobusos de <strong>preguerra<\/strong>, aquests vehicles van suposar una <strong>modernitzaci\u00f3 not\u00f2ria del material m\u00f2bil<\/strong>, incorporant <strong>unitats d&#8217;importaci\u00f3<\/strong> que entrarien en servei a partir del <strong>juliol de 1955<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Els autobusos eren <strong>id\u00e8ntics als que circulaven per ciutats franceses<\/strong>, amb l\u2019excepci\u00f3 del <strong>motor<\/strong>, que era un <strong>Hispano H\u00e9rcules<\/strong>. Amb l\u2019arribada d\u2019aquests vehicles es va <strong>implantar el sistema franc\u00e8s de flux de passatge<\/strong>: <strong>pujada per la porta posterior<\/strong>, on <strong>el cobrador<\/strong>, assegut en una <strong>taquilla interior<\/strong>, exped\u00eda el bitllet; els passatgers <strong>sortien per la porta davantera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Els <strong>seients estaven encoixinats<\/strong> i orientats en el <strong>sentit de la marxa<\/strong> (excepte els del davant). Inicialment, es van <strong>explotar amb r\u00e8gim conductor-cobrador<\/strong>, per\u00f2 en les seves darreres etapes de servei es van reconvertir al sistema <strong>d\u2019agent \u00fanic<\/strong> per operar en <strong>l\u00ednies de baixa demanda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El <strong>canvi de marxes era de tipus Wilson amb preselecci\u00f3<\/strong>, que s\u2019activava <strong>trepitjant un bot\u00f3 (conegut com a &#8220;seta&#8221; o &#8220;champignon&#8221;)<\/strong>. Els vehicles van donar <strong>molt bon resultat<\/strong> i, durant la seva vida activa, <strong>gaireb\u00e9 no van patir modificacions<\/strong>, a excepci\u00f3 de les <strong>fulles de les portes i els retrovisors<\/strong>. Alguns exemplars, com el <strong>n\u00fam. 59<\/strong>, van rebre un <strong>motor Pegaso<\/strong> per substituir l\u2019original, malm\u00e8s per una <strong>avaria greu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El <strong>vehicle n\u00fam. 59<\/strong> va ser <strong>retirat l\u2019any 1976<\/strong>, per\u00f2 va <strong>sobreviure anys a les cotxeres<\/strong>. En aquest temps, un grup de socis de l\u2019<strong>AAFCB<\/strong> va intentar <strong>preservar-lo<\/strong>, per\u00f2 l\u2019operaci\u00f3 <strong>va fracassar per manca de peces<\/strong>, moltes de les quals havien desaparegut en aquell per\u00edode d\u2019inactivitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalment, el <strong>1996<\/strong>, el vehicle va ser <strong>traspassat al Museu del Transport de Castellar de n\u2019Hug<\/strong>.
