Correspon al model <strong>Pegaso 6420<\/strong>, el qual representa <strong>la fi de la producci\u00f3 de vehicles urbans amb disseny propi per part de Pegaso<\/strong>. Tot i aix\u00f2, es tractava realment d\u2019un <strong>\u201clifting\u201d de carrosser Obradors<\/strong>, basat en la <strong>carcassa del MAN SL200<\/strong>, al qual es va acoblar un <strong>motor Pegaso<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La seva construcci\u00f3 es basava en una <strong>estructura autoportant<\/strong>, muntada a la <strong>planta Jorsa de Matar\u00f3<\/strong>, mentre que la <strong>fase d\u2019acabats<\/strong> es duia a terme a la <strong>planta Pegaso de la Zona Franca<\/strong>. La <strong>col\u00b7locaci\u00f3 del motor al volad\u00eds posterior<\/strong> permetia <strong>reduir en 17 cm l\u2019al\u00e7ada del pis interior<\/strong> respecte al seu predecessor, el <strong>Pegaso 6038<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019arribada del Pegaso 6420 a TMB tamb\u00e9 va suposar <strong>un canvi d\u2019imatge corporativa<\/strong>, substituint els colors <strong>groc i vermell<\/strong> per l\u2019actual combinaci\u00f3 de <strong>blanc i vermell viu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aquesta unitat va tenir una <strong>vida \u00fatil entre 1989 i 2005<\/strong>, any en qu\u00e8 va ser <strong>retirada del servei coincidint amb l\u2019arribada de nous vehicles de pis baix<\/strong>. Es va convertir aix\u00ed en <strong>el darrer Pegaso en circulaci\u00f3 a TMB<\/strong>, i va protagonitzar <strong>un acte de comiat especial el setembre de 2005<\/strong>, posant fi a <strong>45 anys de pres\u00e8ncia ininterrompuda de vehicles Pegaso a la flota<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un cop <strong>jubilat del servei actiu<\/strong>, va ser utilitzat <strong>com a vehicle escola per a la formaci\u00f3 de nous conductors<\/strong>.
